Firstly, its a beautiful building, sticking out into the ‘sea’ at Weston-Super-Mare in Somerset. Secondly, I didnt take enough pictures.
Its a big place, we went to the left where they were setting up for someone’s 50th birthday brunch, (a great idea). The table was large, round but a little sticky. One of the seats had a dedication on it, ‘Reserved for Gary between 9am – 10am and 2pm – 3pm’. Gary obviously liked it here, a lot.
We are at the seaside, so obviously, their signature breakfast wasnt going to be called the special Full English, no, it was called the Lifeboat. It cost me £8.75 and came with a mug of tea.
My breakast consisted of: 2 fried eggs, 2 bacon, 2 hash browns, 2 halfs of tomato, 2 black pudding, (very nice indeed), 2 toast, beans and mushrooms. It was a good sized breakfast and kept me going until dinner time.
It wasnt the highest quality of ingredient, however, it was all cooked well and very tasty. My only real criticism was that the beans were on the plate, not in a bowl or ramekin. This meant that I had mushrooms, (which were superb), but many were covered in bean juice – which I dont like. It was the same for the bacon. They lost a fried egg rating for this.

Would I recommend this place. Absolutely. Would I go back. I would, yes.
