An unusual setting, (it’s a canal barge), that however was the best part of this breakfast. Cheap ingredients, served by people that quite clearly didn’t want to be there. Sausage, bacon, hard, greasy egg, toast. It wasn’t good. This breakfast was summed up by the fried egg. Floating Coffee Company

Coast 2 Coast Full English Breakfast – Broad Street
A group of about 20 of us all turned up unannounced. This didnt seem to phase them one bit? Coast 2 Coast is a part of a chain situated on Broad Street in Brum. Its American themed – which may explain why they put a mini Oreo on the Full […]
Yorks Bakery Cafe Full English Breakfast – Stephenson Street (2016 review)
Firstly, this is an outstanding cafe in the heart of Birmingham. In 2014’s Yorks was the best breakfast in Birmingham. Its still good, but no longer the best. The breakfast here is like the establishment – quirky. Not served on a plate, they serve the breakfast on enamel plate on […]
Flying Scotsman Steam Train Full English Breakfast – Tyseley
This was an unexpected treat. My lovely wife, (along with @outinbrum – our foodie friends), arranged a surprise breakfast for me on the most famous steam train in the world, The Flying Scotsman. As an old bugger, I remember the type of carriage that we ate in. It was old, […]

Nomad meets the Birmingham Breakfast Club – Exclusive Breakfast Event – Dudley Street
Firstly, this event sold out in 45 minutes. That’s because Alex and Brian from Nomad are building up a heck of a reputation. They are somewhat pioneering in ways that most of us would just ‘poo-poo’, (I was one of those people until I went along and tried their food […]

This was going to be a trek into the unknown. I was off to Wolverhampton. Someone had recommended this place to me on Facebook, so thinking that I could do with doing a bit of exercise, I jumped on my bike, headed to Birmingham on the canals, then carried on […]
Frankie and Benny’s Full English Breakfast (?) – Tamworth
My visit here was for a boxing day breakfast with the family. Perfect. Well, it may have been if there was some tea. Seriously, no tea! (they had run out!) It probably won’t surprise you that I am impressed with anyone that uses the superlatives ‘Amazing’ and ‘Luxury’ on a […]
Ruthin Castle – New Years Day Breakfast Buffet – Wales
This is a breakfast at a castle that I had the fortune of staying in over New Years Eve. Sadly, I don’t think its something that you can just go and enjoy without staying there, however, it is never the less a good breakfast. What I really enjoyed, (only on […]
Eds Diner Full English Breakfast – National Indoor Arena
I originally went to try breakfast at another venue, but it was shut. I had walked by Eds Diner and thought I would give it a go. Eds Diner – Inside Its a well done out American diner, with suitably attired staff and cooks. I took my seat and ordered […]
