The image above is irrlelvant in this review, as I didnt go to buy the cafe, I had the breakfast delievered to me. How great is that? They advertise and promote it on Just Eat, their breakfast menu is below:
We were told that it was going to be 30 minutes from ordering to delivery. . Surprisingly, it arrived after about 25 minutes.
After unboxing, they were plated up to look a little more appealing:
I went for the Mega Crusty Cottage Special Breakfast, which had the very unusual addition of fish fingers, (which I loved). My breakfast included: 2 sausages, 2 fish fingers, 2 bacon, (we both had 3 pieces of bacon), 2 hash browns, mushrooms, tomato, beans, (option of BBQ, Chilli, cheesy or plain – I went for chilli and they were very nice). It also came with a couple of rounds of toast. OK, it wasnt hot, but it was still warm. OK, the eggs were hard and it’s not the best ingredients – but I still can’t get away from the fact that it was delivered in under half an hour!
It was a beast of a breakfast, just what was needed after a heavy night out. The last sentance was very important. I imagine that I could have been over the drink-drive limit, which rules out the option of driving to eat a breakfast. This means that I had a solution of getting a Full English, which didnt involve the expense of a taxi and having to get dressed!
Would I recommend it? If you are unable to drive and cant be bothered to make any breakfast, then yes. Would I suggest that its a great breakfast, then no, I wouldnt, but did it do the job after a heavy night out? Then yes.
